Soft Washing although a relatively new term for house washing Brisbane and Australia, is not a new way of cleaning houses. First we look at what has built up and growing on the surface. Then we make up a detergent for the job at hand. Using LOW pressure instead of HIGH pressure cleaning methods we'll apply our solution. It's and algae killing, grime destroying formula that is left it to dwell for an appropriate amount of time. Following this, we rinse the surface with water, gently using LOW pressure again.
Pressure cleaning has it's place and is definitely part of our arsenal when it comes to cleaning certain surfaces. However that doesn't include the weatherboards, render or cladding of your home. Yes, pressure cleaners are in our everyday toolkit. It's not the machine, however, that damages the surface. You can go out to the hardware store a buy a little 3000 psi pressure washer and ruin your $20K paintwork quite easily. The pressure created at the nozzle is what can cause the damage. Soft washing with a pressure washer is done by:
- Operating machines at almost idle speeds
- Using specially made nozzles create the perfect pressure for soap application
- Using special nozzles for rinsing
Other equipment we use for roof cleaning and other surfaces include 12V pump and detergent delivery systems. It all depends o the job at hand as to how our team proceed.

Although the Water Efficient Operators License program is no longer active in Brisbane, we do have one. We still adhere to the guidelines set out by the External Cleaning Industry Association all those years ago.

FAQs About Pressure Washing & Soft Washing
Domestic pressure cleaners are not made do much. They are low flow and high pressure. This results in either inconsistent lines across the work area or stripped paint and damaged render. They often can reach the work area (such as eaves and gutters) and definitely won't kill or prevent mould regrowth.
When we provide house washing we are not using high pressure. Our various equipment is all designed to provide high flow but at low pressure. We create a solution on site to target the grime, dirt and mould build up on your house and apply it at low pressure. Occasionally we may use soft bristled brushes to agitate certain areas before rinsing, once again at low pressure.
They won't get dirty, but they will get covered in solution and rinse water. Did you know though, that we will pull out our water fed pole system at the end of the job. So we can tidy up the glass by using our Pure H2O Treatment. Our on board filtration system purifies the water so that it cleans spot free. It leaves the view from your windows looking better than ever.
Mainly to make your house look good. Saying that, washing your house will extend the life of your paint. Stopping mould and lichen from taking hold is important to protect the integrity of your homes exterior. But back to the visual. The number of customers we've had that were thinking about painting and being blown away by the change is astounding.
